Day 14 "Gems in the Gaps"
“Gems in the Gaps”
As I was waiting along the dirt road
Middle in line with my scout team,
I noticed a feeling.
I felt like there was a person standing right next to me,
On my left,
Where an evergreen tree was.
Though it was dark,
I could see the branches and trunk of the tree.
Right next to me.
But it felt like there was a person there.
So I reached out my hand,
My finger pointing toward the trunk,
To touch the trunk of the tree,
And reassure myself that there was no one there.
As I stretched out to touch the tree,
A human hand grabbed my finger!
Between the apparent, the obvious, the easily noticeable,
Are the Gaps.
This is where things are hidden.
Sometimes beautiful things,
Sometimes ugly,
But always something to learn.
Felted merino wool and silk with bead and embroidery embellishments.
