Friction Fire Workshop

May 24th, 2025 11am-4pm

At The Oregon Garden in Silverton, Oregon

Summer is just around the corner, along with camping and grilling and other outdoor activities. How would you like to amaze your friends with the skill of friction fire? Maybe even pass this skill on to your family!

Come play with us at The Oregon Garden and learn the ancient art of making fire using friction!

I learned this bow drill technique at Tom Brown Jr’s Trackerschool and I felt that if this was the only thing I learned from the week in the Pine Barrens of New Jersey at the Standard class, my time and money would have been well worth it.

I will have all the materials ready for you to make your very own friction fire kit to take home with you, and I will be there to guide you along the way to making fire yourself..
