Chapter 15
Spheres Within Spheres
Tom taught us about Grandfather’s worlds which were the physical world, the world of the force, and the spirit world. Tom taught it to us as Grandfather Stalking Wolf taught it to him. In person, Tom described these worlds not as circles within circles, but as spheres within spheres.
The physical world being the center sphere, the world of the force, which contains both the subconscious (our personal place within the force) and the rest of the force being around the physical world, and the spirit world, which is encompasses both the physical and the force within it.
According to Grandfather’s philosophy, everything that exists in the physical also exists in both the force and the spirit. Being in the physical is the most powerful place because when in the physical, we exist in all three at once.
However, everything that exists in the spirit does not necessarily exist in the physical world. The spirit world contains everything that has ever existed in the physical, all that does now exist in the physical, and all that has yet to exist in the physical world. There are also things in the spirit world that will never exist in the physical world. Compared to the physical world and the world of the force, the spirit world is HUGE.
As to the force, Tom also called it the life force and The Spirit that moves in and through all things. Everything that exists in the physical is also existing in the force. Even if something has died, as long as there is something left behind in the physical, that thing still has a foothold in the physical and the force.
In Philosophy 1, Tom attempts to overbalance us in the spiritual world because we have become so heavily weighted in the physical. Because we are spirit and flesh, he is trying to help us become balanced so we can live fully in both, and have greater awareness. Most of us have had our awareness of the spiritual world taught out of us until we ignore it. Tom helps reawaken our spiritual side.
Once, when I was a child, I was sitting in the grass in front of my house and I could feel the energy running through my arms. I wondered what it was. I thought maybe I was feeling my blood moving through my veins. Then I wondered if I could control it so I tried to make it move the other way, and I could.
I was so excited that I could control my blood flowing in my body, I ran into the house to tell my mother. She, being a nurse, explained to me about how blood vessels have little valves in them to keep the blood from flowing the wrong way. She showed me how that works by demonstrating with the veins in my wrist. You can stop blood from flowing one way with pressure, but not the other way.
I accepted that I was not moving my blood, but since I couldn’t explain what I had been moving within me, I discounted it and forgot about it.
Now I know I was moving energy and playing with it, but I didn’t figure that out until I relearned about moving energy in Philosophy 1.
