My Safe Place
Once when I went to the unknown, I found myself at the bottom of the ocean.
I saw a huge boulder and when I got close to it, I just slipped under it and skootched in as far as I could, cramming myself tighter and tighter between the huge cold rock and the cold sandy bottom.
There was a little gap under the boulder that was just perfect for me to squeeze into so tightly I could relax completely and not drift away.
I rested and breathed, feeling the water gently move around me.
Nothing could touch me there.
I felt safe in the arms of the earth.
Sometimes when I get stressed out, I still go there.
