Day 6 Trees Are Individuals

At Trackerschool we did an exercise in awareness to learn about how one tree is unique compared to another, just like people are.

In the exercise we went to three or four trees of the same type, and the same basic appearance, and spent a few moments touching each of those trees with out eyes shut so we could sense the differences between them, based on how each particular tree made our body feel.

Then, our partner in the exercise walked us around a bit, blindfolded, so we would not know which tree we were being taken to, to see if we could tell which particular tree it was.

I was amazed that there was such a difference between the trees, and that we could tell them apart just by how touching the tree made our body feel.

One made me feel hollow inside.

One made me feel strong and well rooted.

One made me feel expanded.

One felt like it was humming.
