Day 8 “Christmas Window”

I love looking at the Christmas lights people put out

Around their houses and windows.

I have not done that.

In all my 40+ years of adulthood,

Having my own home,

I have not put up lights outdoors during the holidays.

I have always felt guilty about spending the money on outdoor lights.

Having lights felt like an extravagance.

This year is going to be different.

Mainly because I am having a holiday art show.

Why do I think I need an excuse like this?

I don’t know.

But I do know

I am going to love decorating my house

With beautiful outdoor Christmas lights

Of all colors,

Shapes,

And sizes!

Over arbors I got especially for the occasion,

And over doorways,

And along walkways.

This is going to be FUN!
