Day 24 "Just Under the Surface"
Just Under the Surface
There was a time when I couldn't feel my anger.
I couldn't feel my pain.
My fears kept me in check,
In line,
Within my box.
But one day I was pushed over the cliff.
I fell
Down,
Down,-
Down,
Into a deep dark well,
Where a black dragon lived.
The dragon woke and began to fly,
And I rode that dragon up through the oily black passage,
Into the light.
It spread its wings and flew.
It vomited fire!
And rage!
And emptied itself into the space all around.
Then it rested.
The dragon always was a part of me,
And now,
Awake,
The dragon lives,
Just
Under
The surface.
Merino wool, silk, and beads.
