“Wildflower Christmas”
Laying in the snow
Along a path in the forest
Wearing layers of thick wool
Including army pants
Over soft wool long johns
All covered over by a long skirt made of
A wool army blanket;
With lawyers of sweaters,
A big waterproof coat
And a white puffball hat
That can only be described as
A big marshmallow;
I was warm.
Breathing the frosty air;
My vision dazzled by
The glittering trees
With sunlight filtering through
The diamond laden branches;
Sinking into the peace of
The quiet blanketed earth;
Is to know Heaven.
