Day 4 A Secret Fort

$200.00

We had a row of tall bush like trees that lined our back yard.

No one had trimmed the bottom branches away.

The corners of the yard allowed for passages between our yard and the neighbor’s yard.

Within these very old growth bushy trees,

there was space.

Space where we kids could go and have our secret little gatherings.

From the outside,

No one could see in,

But we could see out.

Sometimes we would perch up toward the top of the trees on the strong branches,

Or we would be strung out from top to bottom,

legs dangling from branches above and below,

when there were several of us in the trees.
