Day 1 "TheChristmas Tree"

The Christmas Tree

​College was stressful for me. 
​More than I had realized. 
​Home, on break for the holidays I fell ill with an ulcer. 
​On a diet of half and half and Riopan every half hour, 
​I laid on the couch by the Christmas tree. 
​Every night, by the lights of the tree, 
​I read "The Hobbit" and "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy. 
​Every night, till the wee hours of the morning, I read. 
​That Christmas was magical and perfect. 
​Not able to go anywhere, 
​Not able to do anything, 
​Just me and the tree, and an epic fantasy.
​
​Felted merino wool, embellished with beads and embroidery.
