When I saw what my core was made of I was blown away. I saw a core of light running through me from the top of my head to the bottom of me, and beyond, both above and below. There were particles that looked like silver glitter moving gracefully and randomly up and down through that column of light, like particles of dust in a sunbeam. There were three, large, old silvered logs hanging off that column of light that represented my achievements in life. Church service, family service, and education. They were there (like dead wood?); records of my deeds, but they were not me.
This piece of art is made of spun and felted wool and other fibers, with crystal glass beading, metal end caps, and strung beads, on an acrylic rod, ready for hanging. This piece is 10 inches wide and 75 inches long, with the acrylic rod measuring 12 inches wide.
