Pulling into my driveway

From wilderness survival school,

I got out and hugged

A tree in my yard.

In my head I heard my son say,

“Gosh darn tree huggers!”

When I got in the house

My boys were laughing

Because my son had jokingly said,

“Gosh darn tree huggers!”

This Faberge style Christmas tree was made by wet felting merino wool and silk into a fabric. Then I embellished it with beads and stitching. Art is 10.5” x 11”. Framed in a white shadowbox frame.
